TWO EMPLOYEES EARN PromotIONS at THE
Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation

PHILADELPHIA, October 31, 2003 – The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) today announced the promotion of Angela Patterson to vice president of stakeholder relations and Monica Colston to hotel program director.

In her new role as vice president, Patterson, who was formerly the hotel program director, will now supervise stakeholder communications and events. Patterson began working at GPTMC in 1998 as the executive assistant to the president. Previously, she was the director of catering sales at Top of the Tower. A native of Washington, D.C., Patterson graduated from Drexel University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Colston, who joined GPTMC in 2002 as hotel program coordinator, will take over Patterson’s previous position as director of the program. Colston earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Spelman College and a MBA in Marketing from Drexel University. Previously, Colston worked at the Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association and at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
