ALL AMERICAN FALL IN PHILADELPHIA
Philadelphia’s Cultural Institutions Celebrate American Art

PHILADELPHIA, September 1999—Celebrate American Artists in Philadelphia with "All American Fall," a regional tribute which includes special exhibits at 10 area museums and special hotel packages. From October 15, 1999-January 2, 2000, visitors will have the opportunity to attend three major special exhibits: "Worldly Goods: The Arts of Early Pennsylvania, 1680 to 1758" and "The Kingdoms of Edward Hicks" at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and "John Henry Twachtman: An American Impressionist" at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Related exhibits will be on view at eight additional museums throughout the region, including "Cover Story--Norman Rockwell’s America" through October 2000, at the Atwater Kent Philadelphia History Museum; "Inventing the American Past: The Art of F.O.C. Darley" through November 21, 1999, at the Brandywine River Museum in Chester County; and "An Edward Hicks Sampler" through January 2, 2000, at the James A. Michener Museum in Bucks County.

An American Fall hotel package includes one night’s stay for two adults, one night’s parking and exhibition tickets for two to Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
